Since the last post, I have been working on motivating myself and my family for healthy eating habits, routines, and goalsetting.

Here are a few things we are doing to promote success in meeting our goals and staying motivated.

Meal Preparation- preparing snacks, ordering vegetables from an online delivery service, taking vegetables out of the box and prepping them immediately so they get used. Planning meals ahead for the week.

Journaling/ Logging- keeping track of goals, exercise, meal planning, habit tracking.

Water intake- removed soda from the house, bought flavored sparkling water for when we want the carbonation, Bought cases of water, Brita water bottles, larger bottles for the workday, logging in our journals. Adding fruit and veggies to water for taste if feeling bored with plain water.

Motivation- removed gaming apps and unnecessary time sucking apps from my phone. Investing time in reading, family time, meal preparations, sports, socializing.

Rewarding the small wins- ordering a skinny margarita over a regular. Eating a vegetable with each meal, meal and snack prepping, counting the small actions as they later become big wins.

Accountability- holding oneself accountable for our goals, but supporting and encouraging each other in reaching goals. Goals may or may not overlap, but it is important to support and encourage each other.
